Advice for use of two models "Aktivas" and "Neutral"

  • The "Aktivas” tutor must not be trimmed to adapt them to the ear. They do not have to be adjusted to the exact size of the ear to be effective. If you are in any doubt, contact your supplier for information.
  • Never insert the tutors inside the ear canal. The tutor base must rest upon the seat or creases of the cartilage at the bottom of the pinna. To make sure of all of this, your index finger must be able to slide inside the ear canal.
  • Make sure that the “Aktivas” and "Neutral" tutors are perfectly in place. In no case must the plaster crowns be pressed excessively into place, as they could cut off the blood supply to the ear.
  • The optimal treatment duration for the 2 models is about 10 days. For the most difficult cases, we recommend two to three treatments, with an intermediate break of 12/24 hours. In each new treatment, clean again and, if necessary, apply an antihistamine cream.
  • Having definitively fitted the tutors, the animal must be separated from other dogs to avoid them removing them. If they should loosen or become unstuck, they will have to be refitted with new strips of plaster. Very important: make sure the ears do not get wet during the process.
  • The “Aktivas” tutor produce an immediate increase in heat, activating the blood flow to your dog’s ears. Because of this reaction, the internal pinna of the ear will most probably normally become red as it warms. Daily monitoring of the dog's reactions is recommended, especially during the first days.
  • When you purchase the "Aktivas" tutor, if you are not going to use it immediately, the box must be kept in a cool and dry place (refrigerator).
  • At the end of the "Aktivas" tutor treatment, the removed tutors should not be reused.
  • In the product packaging without natural substances "Neutral" tutor, you will be attached a brochure with instructions to proceed to their placement.
